Due to the expansion of Johnson Electric’s plant in Murten, Switzerland, and to support the development of new products for our customers, we are looking for an experienced Test Engineer.

The main purpose of the role will be to support the successful testing of new product release during the design/engineering, validation and project management phase. To be successful in this role, you’ll need strong software programming knowledge, an affinity in mechanical processes, as well as strong multidisciplinary collaboration skills.

Your responsibilities will be to:

• Establish and maintain of automated test equipment for new product on multidisciplinary domains

• Bring expertise for the test equipment software development in our Swiss and Hungarian teams

• Be the expert and act as a link between Engineering, Test Equipment Development Team and the laboratory to define specification of test equipment for new products

• Analyse of customer specification and participate to the elaboration of compliance matrix with existing test equipment

• Provide support for electronics development on the hardware and firmware side in Switzerland and Hungary

• Provide support and training for new joiners on topics like software development and testing in LabVIEW

• Technical documentation, validation and test procedure creation

Our requirements:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience from similar industrial environment

• University degree in Engineering (preferably in Electronics/Mechatronics or similar)

• Experience in at least two of these programming languages: LabVIEW (preferred), C, Assembly, C#, C++, MatLab, Python, SQL

• Knowledge in validation processes

• Knowledge in hardware and firmware development

• Fluency in English AND in French/German

• Knowledge in industrial cabling methods, cable schematics (Tinline, Eplan or SolidEdge) is a plus

• Flexibility, strong reliability and strong conscientiousness

• Team player attitude, innovative personality with the desire to be up-to-date with technologies. Ability to brainstorm, bring ideas, drive the team

• Willingness for business travels approximately 3 times a year
