On behalf of our client, a leading international biotechnology company based in Visp, Swisslinx is looking for a Project Procurement Lead. If this is you, you will manage the procurement activities for assigned investment projects and coordinate their planning and execution at the Visp site and, if required, at other Lonza sites. You will hold strategic responsibility for procurement in construction of manufacturing, laboratory & office facilities projects between 5 to 500 million.

Your mission
â?¢ Development of Procurement Execution Strategy and coordination of procurement activities for assigned investment projects.
â?¢ End-to-end commercial ownership of procurement, expediting, contract management & closeout of contracts for A) goods such as: Process equipment, electrical equipment, AHUâ??s, black utilities pumps & valves, lab equipment, furniture, consumables, pumps & automation systems and spare parts; B) services such as: Construction, piping, HVAC, electrical & cleanroom fit-out, consulting, engineering and planning;
â?¢ Active management of the Procurement Master Plan (PMP) during project execution to ensure timely project reporting & identification & mitigation of risks
â?¢ Close collaboration with a multitude of stakeholders such as A) Project procurement team including other buyers, order managers & contract managers; B) procurement management & category management; C) Project or Program Director or Managers, engineers and subject matter experts dedicated to projects; D) Support functions like Quality, EHS, Legal, Finance, HR etc. E) Key third party collaborators including EPCM, EPC or main trade or equipment suppliers.
Your background
â?¢ 10 years experience in CAPEX project / procurement management, within the pharma / biotech sector would be an advantage;
â?¢ Languages: fluent English required, fluent German would be an advantage;
â?¢ Experience in plant construction as well as in the areas of procurement, sales, contracts;
â?¢ A team player with the ability to work efficiently in matrix organisations and interdisciplinary teams;
â?¢ Excellent business mindset, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills;
â?¢ Initiative and resilience â?? ability to work in an exciting, ever-changing environment;
â?¢ Technical training (ETH or FH) or similar in process, chemical, mechanical, civil, or plant engineering would be an advantage.
