Design and Construction Supply Chain Manager
Job Purpose
Ensure we have a fit for purpose local supply chain in Latam to support our growth aspirations in the market.
Design and Construction Supply Chain Manager is responsible for:
- Reviewing our existing suppliers (Global, Regional and Local) in market and understanding where our biggest opportunities lie for cost savings
- Identifying new local suppliers to fill these opportunities
- Following our procurement processes and practices to onboard the suppliers
- Managing the local suppliers to make sure that they are delivering
- Drive best practice and innovation in the team
Key Responsibilities
- Reduce costs from our supply chain in Latam
- Engage with functional and local lead stakeholders
- Identify, contract with and manage local suppliers in market
- Build and utilise professional, best practice procurement tools and processes
- Represent IWG and procurement professionally to external suppliers and sources
- Plan and prioritise spend and supplier reviews
- Become the ‘expert’ of knowledge, the market and technicalities of your categories
- Report on local activities by opportunity and outcome
- Investigate and provide details of all potential suppliers
- Support benchmarking across the group and identify opportunities
- Determine baseline for each responsible category
- Delivery of tangible P&L cost savings against target KPI’s
- Identify, report and track spend review opportunities and forecasted and actual savings for item in your categories
- Ensure close engagement with all stakeholders presenting regular updates
- Influence quality of specifications to support effective sourcing
- Identify and understand potential suppliers and trends for assigned categories
- Put in place a continuous improvement programme with key suppliers to deliver a pipeline of future savings
- Implement and manage developed category strategies and objectives (cost, quality, performance, consolidation etc)
- Ensure risks, issues and disaster recovery/business continuity management requirements are identified, managed and mitigated
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Highly commercial and results focused - significant experience of reducing cost whilst improving standardisation.
- High drive with strong attention to detail. Can cope with a high degree of ambiguity, uncertainty and change.
- Strong resilience with the ability to keep focused on the big picture and end goal.
- Ability to positively influence multiple stakeholders across countries and cultures.
- Good knowledge of procuring construction services and office goods/equipment preferred
- Previous experience in procuring indirect category expenditure desirable
- Understanding and application of strategic sourcing process
- Understanding of the principles of supplier management
- Excellent commercial and legal negotiation skills
- Looks for ways to improve customer service/experience
- Entrepreneurial and able to think creatively to ensure that our proposition is fit for purpose
- Results focussed and Team oriented – must be able to work as part of a cross functional team to deliver end-to-end procurement & supply chain solutions across the business delivering optimal performance
- Highly Computer literate – Excel, Word, PowerPoint systems knowledge/skills
- Likely degree or equivalent and/or member of CIPS
