Position:

Joining a busy trust administration team as a trust assistant, working closely with the client relationship managers, the other trust assistants and the client accountants.

Perhaps you are not happy in your current role and keen to try something new or else between jobs at the moment and looking to add value, bring your knowledge and learn and grow? My client is keen for someone to evolve and over time go on to be a fully-fledged trust officer, TEP qualified eventually etc. The chance therefore for a dynamic and professional junior trust administrator to be part of a seasoned trusts, family office & fiduciary services company with lovely people and high quality trusts and estates work. Direct access to Management and a super ambience.

You should already have some trusts experience as a trust assistant and looking to carve out your career in this domaine. Typical tasks could include, but not limited to:

- Complete various internal and external correspondence, as appropriate or requested by the Relationship Managers;

- Ensure all incoming, internal and outgoing correspondence is filed both physically and electronically in line with set procedures and standards;

- Perform accurate processing of payments and associated documentation;

- Complete the opening and closing of custodian & bank accounts;

- Maintain the client database;

- Perform research to resolve problems, initiating corrective actions either directly or with the Relationship Managers and following through to ensure client's satisfaction and to prevent recurrence;

- Assist with the closure / transfer out processes;

- Liaise with the Relationship Managers and colleagues on a daily basis in order to ensure that all necessary tasks are completed within the required timescales;

- Taking internal and external calls and greetings clients;

- Undertake any reasonable additional duties which from time to time may be requested by a member of the Management;

- Assume back up of other trust assistant(s) when appropriate.

Profile:

  • 3-5 years' experience as assistant trust officer/trust administrator
  • Bachelor degree a plus but not a must
  • STEP certificate passed or being undertaken
  • Strong administration and organizational skills as well as comfortable with internal and external stakeholders + intermediaries
  • A numerate person, comfortable on numbers and figures
  • Pro-active, team spirit, willing to go the extra mile and be collaborative as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and an entrepreneurial mindset, used to working within a corporate environment
  • Excited by the idea of being part of a medium-sized office of around 30 people, but close to 80 people worldwide
  • Strong IT and computer skills MS office etc
  • Fluent/bilingual English; French a plus
  • Eligible to work in Switzerland if not already in possession of a Swiss work permit or passport ("frontalier" accepted) - should ideally be already based locally in the Geneva area
  • Able to commit to a full-time role (2 days home office per week envisaged)
