GL Accountant
For one of my clients based in Lausanne, I am looking for an accomplished GL Accountant, on a permanent basis, to complete their Finance team.
Responsibilities
- Production of accurate and timely financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis, adhering to IFRS and Swiss GAAP standards.
- Compilation of FINMA reports in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Data entry into the company's accounting system to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Active involvement in technical accounting matters.
- Optimizing financial processes, including reconciliation of accounts, sub-ledgers, bank accounts, and other balance accounts.
- Preparation of tax declarations and monitoring of tax regulations.
- Assistance in preparing documentation for both internal and external auditors, addressing audit inquiries, and contributing to regulatory and compliance initiatives.
- Support for various finance and accounting projects.
- Providing assistance to the Finance team as needed.
Profile requirements
- Accreditation in accounting (e.g., Brevet Fédéral de spécialiste en Finance et Comptabilité or equivalent).
- At least 5 years of experience in a multinational setting, preferably in a general accounting role.
- Fluent in both English and French; proficiency in German is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and numerical aptitude.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Access, etc.), BO, and SAP.
- Previous experience with IFRS is essential.
