Manager Middle Office & Logistics (100%)

To support our trading desks for Raw Materials and Green Aluminium in Zurich, we are looking for a:

Your Responsibilities:

• Negotiating rates/freights and optimizing logistical flows to improve profitability of a trade
• Organizing the transportation of goods between our customers and suppliers globally
• Close cooperation with the trading department and other stakeholders to ensure smooth contract execution
• Issuing customer documentation according to contractual and legal requirements
• Warehouse and Stocks allocation management
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to continuously increase quality of our service to stakeholders
• Updating internal sales/trading systems on a regular basis
• Further developing analysis and reporting tools around logistics

Skills and Experience you bring along:

• 2-3 years’ experience in logistics and administration, preferably global
• Vessel Chartering / Laytime calculations
• Bulk Materials / Bulk Shipping
• Containerised freight knowledge
• Contacts within the Container market / shipping lines
• Working knowledge of shipping documentation / procedures
• Experience with Letters of Credit (L/Cs) is a plus
• Very good IT skills, especially Excel
• Good command of English and German (any additional language is a plus)
• Attention to detail
• Service oriented, pro-active
