Head of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC)
Insolight is an innovative company based in Renens (CH) building agrivoltaic installations, with a single infrastructure providing agricultural protection on top of solar energy. The system dynamically adjusts shading on crops, while harvesting the excess light into electricity.
We are now multiplying projects with growers across Europe, with more than 600 hectares / 300 MWp of projects in the pipeline. 120 MWp in development in France, Italy and Switzerland. Our team is passionate about building a solution that impacts both energy and agriculture, tackling multiple Sustainable Developments Goals at once.
More and more projects are expected to reach Ready-to-Build stage in the upcoming year. We are thus looking for someone experienced in managing engineering, procurement and construction of solar projects, to roll out those deployments. Total commitment, enthusiasm to work in fast-paced environment and attention to details are required, to ensure that the construction of our agrivoltaic installations is a success.
Role and key responsibilities:
- Manage the construction management and engineering teams
- Manage procurement and relationships with our network of suppliers and partners
- Set up or review contracts with key suppliers and partners
What we are looking for:
- Engineering background
- 10+ years of professional experience
- Experience in construction management of solar projects
- Experience in procurement and management of complex contracts
- Experience with commissioning and quality checks of solar power plants
- Existing network among suppliers
- Great energy, entrepreneurial mindset
- Flexible and able to successfully navigate in a fast-paced organization
- Genuine interest in sustainability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Additional valuable skills:
- Experience in agrivoltaics
- Understanding of construction norms (Eurocode, SIA)
- Fluency in German, French and/or Italian
