What are we looking for? A talented and hands-on Optics Engineer who will strongly contribute in the design, development, characterization, testing of optical systems for internal and external client’s projects. You will develop and maintain numerical models, design and conduct experiments and/or perform data analysis. You will work closely with the industrialization team as well as with the quality department in order to optimize the product generation and technology transfer under mass production constraints, operational excellence rules, and customer needs and requirements.
How to be successful in this position? With the team you will contribute to the development and design of optical systems for various applications, considering factors such as lighting quality and efficiency. You will conduct tests and analyses to evaluate the performance of optical lighting systems and components. This involves using measurement tools, simulations, and diagnostic equipment to ensure that systems meet design specifications. You will run feasibility studies/definition of optical specifications and tolerances (photometry/colorimetry). You will work on the design and optimization of laser systems and manufacturing processes and provide laser safety risk analysis. You will define guidance for automotive qualification processes of optical components according to applicable standards, and contact with different suppliers of components and equipment. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to transfer optical systems solutions towards industrialization stage.
What do you need to be instrumental in this role? A Master Degree in Optics, Physics, Microtechnology, or Photonics or equivalent, and a relevant hands-on experience of at least 3 years in a similar position. You have experience working with laser systems alignment and you are familiar with their related safety constraints and regulations. You have a very good command of French and/or English. An experience working in a start-up is a real plus.
