On the Demand planning team, we deliver our mission by conducting Celgene's Demand Planning activities in EMEA and International Markets region that will deliver an operational unit forecast by market and SKU that will be used for supply planning purposes. You will use the commercial forecast as a baseline to develop an operational forecast by incorporating business intelligence and demand forecast information gathered from historical sales to wholesalers, partners and any direct customer. The Demand Planning function will be responsible for collecting demand associated with the products intended to be distributed in International Markets, including commercial sales, Name Patient Program (NPP), charity and promotional programs if applicable, tender offers, projected country launches and line extensions. The Demand Planning function serves as a conduit between Global Supply Planning (GSCP) and Commercial (regional) organization represented by Business Planning & Analysis (BP&A) functions besides the individual countries and markets.

As the Associate Manager, Demand Planning International Markets , you'll support that goal by:

  • Leading the monthly operational demand planning process with the markets (affiliates/partners) to deliver a consensus demand forecast for operational planning purposes
  • Partnering with Commercial Organization (such as BP&A) as well as external partners (e.g. distributors) in a cross-functional collaboration to ensure a timely and accurate development and delivery of:
  • Rolling 27-month operational demand unit forecast by country/SKU
  • Supporting preparation of the operational annual Long Range Plan in units, including new product introduction and new indication launches at the unit and market level
  • A detailed new product launches scheduled with 24-36 month horizon
  • Reviewing each month, historical sales trends, research demand drivers, develop statistical operational forecast models, and evaluate operational forecast results
  • Reconciling variances and refine the operational forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions
  • Maintaining current and historical forecast using Demand Planning software (Demantra)
  • Collaborating with Supply Planners to develop inventory strategies for existing items, new products, and product phase-ins and phase-outs
  • Closely coordinating and communicating to the Global Supply Planning any changes to existing rolling forecast
  • Supporting the quarterly demand review process by providing the data and market-specific knowledge
  • Supporting the quarterly sales and operations process (S&OP /Business Review/and Executive S&OP Meetings) by conducting the necessary analysis and preparing the appropriate reports
  • Collecting and improve on performance metrics as directed

Sills and Knowledge required
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration or equivalent education,
  • At least 5 years of work experience, including minimum 3 years in the pharmaceutical industry. Furthermore, the following skills and qualifications are required:
  • International experience of 3+ years in demand planning or business/financial planning
  • Demonstrated track record in achieving business results
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the operational forecast process
  • Very well organized, proactive problem solver, managing priorities and a commitment to quality
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and proficient with MS Power-Point
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English - additional language skills are an asset
  • Travel up to 10-15%
