Then, it's time that you join us as a Business Development Manager Glass Syringes  (m/w/d) in our Business Unit Pharmaceutical Systems. You will be located in St. Gallen, Switzerland or Mainz, Germany, depending on your preferences - starting asap



Your tasks:
  • Lead business development process - acquisition of new customers and new projects with existing clients; negotiate specifications and terms
  • Understand SCHOTT's technical capabilities and translate those (in close cooperation with Sales and Product Management) into a compelling offering based on clear value propositions and tangible unique selling propositions
  • Perform brand and product related presentations to potential customers and other industry-relevant audiences
  • Developing an in-depth Market Intelligence of the global glass pre-fillable syringe segment, analyze and assess customer information as well as market and competitors
  • Provide fiscal year forecast and 3 years sales plan plus the 5 years sales prognosis
  • Initiate and execute business development projects
Your profile:

This crucial role requires an excellent understanding of the pharmaceutical and biotech industry with ideally specialized knowledge of the parental packaging segment. We expect:

  • Master´s Degree in Engineering or LifeSciences (e.g. Chemistry, Medical Engineering) or similar related field
  • 5+ years of experience in business development (technical or sales related) position with a B2B environment of an international organization.
  • Strong interpersonal and excellent communication, presentation and networking skills, which enable you to liaise effectively to customers and other stakeholders
  • Ability to organize and motivate cross-functional teams and work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • You are fluent in English and in German. You show a strong drive for results and have a deep-rooted desire to develop the business; concrete acquisition success stories should prove this point.
  • Business related experience in Asia would be a plus. 
  • Approximately 40% international travelling has to be expected in this role.
