Your tasks

You work in a team of 3 controllers responsible for financial controlling and reporting for LH Headquarters and Financial Holdings. You are responsible for leading the reporting of Group holdings to group consolidation; working on accurate accounting treatment of material transactions and working closely with auditors across all holding companies.Furthermore you are responsible for the budgeting & forecasting process (incl. tax forecast), participating in Internal Control activities across Holdings. Ensure availability of all necessary data analytics for budgeting, reporting and performance assessment purposes, including development of relevant SAP data tools.

  • Responsible for the monthly and quarterly closing process for Corporate Holdings with a strong focus on financial transactions (financing, capital market, M&A, tax)
  • Ensure accounting and reporting data integrity and completeness
  • Prepare monthly analysis of holdings balance sheet, income statement, cash flows, including financial income and expenses, CTA, forex, and other relevant data
  • Preparation of the consolidated yearly budget and Mid Term Plan for Corporate Holdings
  • Prepare the statutory (stand-alone) budget of all main Swiss and French legal entities
  • Owner of Internal Controls in the area of responsibility
  • Point of contacts for external auditors, including impairment process and loan recoverability
  • Determine the accounting treatment under IFRS for specific transactions in collaboration with
  • Group Consolidation, Group Treasury and external auditors
  • Actively challenge accounting processes (incl. collaboration with the shared service center in Slovakia and in India) and make improvement proposals
  • Manage ad hoc projects
  • Support the Head of Controlling with all aspects of planning, reporting, analysis and continued improvements
  • Train and develop junior controllers

Education/Qualifications

  • CPA/ACCA or equivalent degree
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Financial Controlling with increasing level of responsibility

Experience

  • Experience in Corporate/Holding environment
  • Big4 experience

Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to understand and solve complex problems and complex process and value relationships
  • Strong quantitative, best-in-class finance background and a creative thinker, based on a robust approach to data/flow analysis; numeracy and ability to critically analyze data, identifying trends, correlations, and key drivers
  • Establish trust and confidence
  • Prior multi-geography experience and work in virtual environment
  • High degree of self-responsibility, initiative and willingness to highly perform
  • Roll-up-your-sleeves and action oriented
  • Proactive and independent
  • Strong evidence of consistent delivery against targets and ability to manage workload in a pressurized environment
  • Demonstrable setting of high personal standards
  • Good ability to structure tasks and high level of attention to details
  • Ability to quality control own work and daily output
  • Strong team spirit and communication skills
  • SAP FI/FC/TRM/BI, advanced excel (data analysis), PowerPoint, G-suite

Language Requirements

English (Fluent), German, French would be an advantage
