Production Engineer

In this challenging position you will be part of the global manufacturing team. Outsourcing has become a universal part of the medical device manufacturing business. Our department, therefore, develops strong relationships with long-term, strategic partners to provide manufacturing solutions for the complete end-to-end supply chain. We deliver reliable, high-quality products that support our business in treatment planning and delivery systems, which include photon, proton, and brachytherapy systems.

ct as manufacturing representative and ensure adherence of manufacturability and economical production during development of electronic systems and electromechanical components starting with the prototype up to production stage (design transfer).


Specific Responsibilities

  • Represent the Manufacturing organization in cross-functional NPI Core Teams as a technical, product and process expert and coordinate commitments and efforts within the manufacturing team
  • Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished - product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes
  • Writing and executing process and equipment validations (IQ/OQ/PQ)
  • Review supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities
  • Continuous Engineering/Change Management: Identification, assessment and elaboration of change projects (improvements, cost reduction, obsolescence issues) for routine production
  • Create and maintain Process Flow and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
  • Processing of NC’s (non-conformances), root cause analyses and elaboration of corrective and preventive actions
  • Generate and modify manufacturing process documentation (BOM’s, Manufacturing Plan, FAT, Work Instructions, Test Instructions) following established policies and procedures

Desired Qualifications

  • Degree (FH, Bachelor/Master) in electronic engineering focused on production or mechatronics
  • Experience in Production Engineering within an electronics manufacturing environment, ideally in a similar position in the Medical Device Industry
  • Experience in multidisciplinary project management
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications, Product Data Management and SAP
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills in German and English
  • Highly motivated to work in a dynamic international environment and in a multicultural Team

You are used to working independently, open to discussing ideas and solutions with your colleagues.
