Our customers are engineers and scientists developing next generation controls, DSP, and vision technologies such as for autonomous cars, electric aircrafts, robots, medical devices, smart grids, power plants, smartphones, or augmented reality technologies.

Our solutions allow them to continuously verify and validate their designs along a complete Model-Based Design workflow using MATLAB and Simulink including virtual and real physical testing with actual prototyping and embedded hardware.

Tasks and responsibilities

As Technical Project Manager at Speedgoat you take the overall responsibility to specify and coordinate implementation of non-off-the-shelf customer specific configurations and developments. Main focus is on the design of complete rack setups for hardware-in-the-loop simulation.

You enjoy elaborating complex systems in collaboration with the customer and internal technical experts and take the lead on their implementation.

Key tasks include

  • Elaborate and specify customer specific system configurations and development in collaboration with the customer, technical sales and development
  • Supervise and coordinate project implementation across internal departments, partners and the customer
  • Support technical sales in evaluating feasibility of custom requirements and review corresponding solution proposals and quote
  • Establish and maintain collaboration with partner companies supporting us in their specific area of expertis

Specifically related to hardware-in-the-loop simulation setups, key tasks include:

  • Discuss and understand deteriministic real-time requirements, I/O, signal conditioning, wiring, application modeling, and GUI interfacing requirements with the customer
  • Coordinate work with production, development, and technical sales, and exportation, and keep the customer informed and involved
  • Assure that technical and regulatory requirements related to certifications are met
  • Assure that EMI and signal integrity requirements are met, especially when leveraging analog and digital I/O interfaces in conjunction with power electronics
  • Support acceptance testing of the complete setup in close collaboration with the customer
  • Further develop Speedgoat's rack offerings for complete HIL simulators

Qualification requirements

  • Bachelor or Master degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Strong academic or professional background in power electronics, and experience with EMI and related requirements to assure signal integrity and safety
  • Three years of professional work experience in technical product or project management or hardware or system design and development
  • Experience with MATLAB and Simulink, and ideally Simulink Real-Time
  • Ideally advanced knowledge with analog and digital interfaces and FPGAs
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Good understanding of computer systems, for example hardware and software components and communication protocols
  • Ability to learn and apply technology quickly
  • Proactive, flexible and responsible person
  • Ability to assert oneself
  • Excellent communication skills
