The AO Foundation is a medically guided, nonprofit organization led by an international group of surgeons specialized in the treatment of trauma and disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Founded in 1958 by a group of visionary surgeons, today, the AO has a global network of 200,000 health care professionals. Each year it offers over 830 educational events around the world, which are supported by nearly 9,000 faculty and are attended by over 58,000 participants. AOTrauma is the largest clinical division within the AO Foundation and continues to uphold the long established and successful history of the AO Foundation. AOTrauma provides clear direction and generates and distributes knowledge through research and education programs. Project Manager Education AOTrauma Europa & Southern Africa

In this role you will plan, coordinate and control all aspects of AOTrauma educational activities (e.g. courses, seminars, symposia) for assigned countries in the Europe & Southern African region (ESA). The Project Manager Education has overall responsibility for:

- Planning and implementation of educational events for assigned countries in close collaboration with surgeons, industrial partners and other organizational units of the AO Foundation utilizing standardized processes and IT-tools
- Managing needs assessment for faculty development and provides input to AO faculty development team
- Event budget negotiation and budget planning with surgeons, industrial partners, controlling and regional team
- Event-controlling and monitoring of financial performance of assigned events
- Management of invoices, faculty reimbursements and handling of all contracts for assigned educational events
- Relationship management to regional and national AOTrauma surgeon leadership and industrial partners
- Deputizing for colleagues with similar responsibilities for educational events in the region
- Quality management of AOTrauma educational events
- Special ad hoc regional education projects

To be successful in this role you should have the following experience and qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Proven project management skills and strong process orientation
- Strong financial acumen (e.g. budgeting, forecast, analysis)
- 5 years' experience in event planning and management (ideally in the medical space)
- Proven ability to influence and partner with diverse multi-functional teams across geographic boundaries
- Very good communication skills in English, German is considered a plus
- Strong service orientation and service mentality is desirable
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
