HR Business Partner (f/m/d)

To support our growth in our biggest and most complex manufacturing Site in Visp we are looking for a HR Business Partner to complete our highly dynamic and agile HR Team on-site. The incumbent is responsible for the development and execution of the HR strategy and related activities within Biologics Visp in line with overall departmental business strategy and Lonza/Site HR strategy, she/he will act as a coach, mentor and HR subject matter expert, responsible for providing strategic HR partnership in all key HR areas with a focus on the full employee lifecycle from hire to retire including Organizational Development, workforce planning and driving transformation.
We are currently a team of 4 HR Business Partners and one intern. We have a culture of true team spirit, can do attitude and supportive behavior in our team, especially under high pressure. We experiment with new ways of working and methods to share best practice. Our team is embedded in the broader Lonza HR Biologics organization. The position is based in Visp.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide proactive and strategic guidance and support for organizational planning and development initiatives that align the human resources agenda in support of key business strategies and initiatives
- Drive an effective and client-oriented HRBP Biologics team in order to provide coaching, consultation and guidance to people managers in all employee life-cycle matters
- Establish and execute staffing plans for the growth projects within Biologics Visp. Leverage RPO/TA resources to ensure a robust pipeline of both internal and external talent exists to fill existing and evolving team staffing needs
- Help foster a culture where employees can be retained and developed. Ensure OTR in line with global guidance on site and respective action plans. Support people manager in their development to become effective leaders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key requirements:
- Master or Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Economics, Psychology or relevant areas (major in HR preferred but not a must)
- Extensive years of experience within HR Business Partnering or related areas
- Strong Customer Focus: excel to identify and implement effective solutions that align with Lonza’s overarching goals and HR
- Flexibility and Learning Agility: navigating change and keen on continuously enhancing skills and knowledge quickly; can effectively act in a multi-cultural environment
- Team Collaboration: ability to work harmoniously within the HR Biologics team ensures the achievement of our collective objectives
- HRBP Experience or Transferable Skills: While a background as an HRBP is beneficial, we are open to candidates who can bring relevant and adaptable skills to this role
- Fluent in English
- High self-motivation and proven level of decision making skills, drive for results and performance as well as ability to work in a high pressure and dynamic environment
- Open-minded for new ideas with a highly collaborative and strong team oriented attitude
