The traineeship begins on 1st of October 2024 and is limited to 18 months with the option of a permanent position. 

• Work on different operational and/or strategic tasks in your assignments.
• Take on responsibility for ongoing projects from day one
• Gain insights in the energy operation, front support and operational excellence and work on our trading floor
• In your first assignment, work to simplify the management of our Direct Marketing portfolio, which contains around 400 assets with an annual volume of 900 GWh, identify opportunities to optimize our DM portfolio, analysis of the opportunities of the implementation of a white certificate model for the Swiss market and set up a tool to monitor the micro-changes in daily PnL.

• Master's degree in Energy Science, Mathematics, Quant Finance, Physics or an Engineering field (no more than 2 years of post-graduation professional experience).
• Strong interest and knowledge of the energy markets
• Knowledge in Finance and Trading concepts
• Programming skills (Python, SQL) are a plus
• Commercial and innovative mindset, powerful in solving business cases as well as an analytical approach to problem solving
• Strong negotiation, collaboration, and communication skills
• First work experience as an intern or student employee
• fluency in English, German and further languages are a plus
