Consumer & Market Insights Project Manager (m/f/d)

As a Consumer & Market Insights Project Manager, you will contribute to important strategic initiatives within the Taste & Wellbeing Division of Givaudan Europe. You will be part of the European Marketing, Consumer, and Sensory Insights team, reporting to the Senior Consumer & Market Insights Manager and collaborating with multiple colleagues within the Consumer Sensory Insights team, and with Marketing, Technical, and Commercial teams across Europe.

You will be based in Kemptthal, Switzerland and report directly to the Senior Consumer Sensory Insights Manager.

You will:

Be the primary expert responsible for delivering insights on Consumers and Market in a selection of important food categories, and their evolution across Europe. You are an insight specialist who can provide simplicity, and accuracy to support data-driven strategic and decisions.

Main Accountabilities: 

  • Support developing the business strategy in partnership with Regional Innovation teams (Marketing and Technical teams) by providing forecasting, market sizing, market analysis, and consumer trends identification.

  • Connect the dots to provide a holistic understanding of the food category: consolidating and converting internal and external data (market sizing, NPD trend, consumer insights, social media signals, and customer's perspective) into clear and applicable business insights

  • Articulate and present those insights compellingly, both verbally and in written form to internal and external audiences

  • Lead CMI support for customer briefs by conducting consumer testing, and compiling relevant consumer and market insights

  • Lead research projects: scope the objectives of the study, identify the best methodology, set up internal (or with external agencies) consumer /B2B research, and share back the main outcomes with the partners.

  • Maximize the usage and influence of our proprietary tools (digital tools, and improvements)

You have:

  • A University degree in Consumer Sciences, Sensory Science, Market Research or a relevant discipline

  • 4+ years of consumer insights experience in food and/or beverages in a B2C or B2B organization

  • Experienced on how to translate Consumer and Market insights into commercial propositions

  • Passion for consumer understanding and food experiences

  • Willingness to work with versatile teams (sensory, flavourist, application, marketing, and commercial)

  • Business Fluency in English

  • Enthusiastic, open to try new approaches (B2B, AI, big data...)

  • Experienced in working on several projects at the same time

  • Expert in handeling complexity, adept partner management, and a 'can-do' attitude
