U.S. Sales Representative (all genders)
Our client is a small, successful Swiss company which belongs to a growing European technology provider. It is a global leader in innovative reaction and process technologies for the chemical and aluminum industries. It successfully develops and adapts its proprietary technologies and realizes modular plants worldwide, ensuring high process efficiency and quality for its customers and their products which often play crucial roles in various high-tech applications. Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing you will be independently develop the client's U.S. market position, and coordinate and support all sales and market activities with the aim of signing new contracts. You identify new prospects based on the application areas of the company's technologies. You support the market understanding by closely following macrotrends and identifying public or private initiatives that may impact the market developments. You establish close and long-lasting relationships with your customers and learn early about their development plans and investments. With your market knowledge you also help the development of new technologies or applications as you identify future market needs.
Your identityYou have completed your studies with a MSc/BSc degree in chemical, plant, or mechanical engineering, and/or have gained several years of work experience in a chemical process or engineering and construction environment (e.g., chemical, metals/aluminum, oil/gas). A good understanding of and experience with the U.S. market and culture is mandatory. You have at least three years of sales and/or key account management experience in the field of plant construction. You are a reliable, self-motivated, and highly independently working person. You possess very good communication and negotiation skills, and you feel at ease interacting with different hierarchical levels. Perfect command of English is required, any other languages such as German or Italian would be an advantage. You already live in the USA (preferably East Coast, Midwest, Southeast/west) or are willing to permanently relocate. The initial training will take place at the company's office in Switzerland, and partly in Italy.
