Manager, Merchandise Planning Excellence
VF Corporation is looking for an exceptional Manager, Merchandise Planning Excellence to join our Omnichannel Operations team based in Stabio, Switzerland, on a fixed term basis until 31.03.2025.
The Omnichannel Operations team is responsible for achieving operational excellence, allowing consumers of all VF brands to shop where they want and how they want.
As Manager, Merchandise Planning Excellence, you will be responsible for helping brands achieve pre-season and in-season planning excellence in relation to our DTC models with Digital Key Accounts (aka Digital 2P).
You will also be involved in several projects aimed at optimising data ingestion, processing and reporting for trading, merchandising and financial planning purposes across all brands and multiple Key Accounts.
Support the brands with their Merchandise Planning and Forecasting activities on Digital Key Account DTC models through the development of OTB reporting solutions to be adopted cross-functionally.
Collect OTB-related feedback and requirements from brands and translate them into business needs for key enabling functions, such as Business Intelligence.
Work closely with the Business Intelligence team to develop and innovate cross-brand OTB reporting and tools.
Provide training to the brands’ merch planners for the adoption of new tools and reports.
Analyse the brands’ Financial Plans on Digital Key Account DTC models and provide qualitative feedback and recommendations.
Collect SAP HANA reports from central finance with every forecast update to monitor the brands’ forecast for the current year vs plan and vs previous year.
Update regular reports with cross-brand financial performance and planning data for internal presentation purposes.
Team up with central finance team to ensure an appropriate mapping and tracking of financial performance across all strategic Key Accounts and relevant business models.
Perform ongoing data validation and align with finance (and BI, if needed) in case of discrepancies.
Support the Trading Excellence functions with the development, automation and deployment of innovative trading solutions such as a Product Price Elasticity Tool.
Work closely with Business Intelligence and Data Analytics functions to coordinate the ingestion of sell-out and inventory data from wholesale Key Accounts (via EDI) and the development of brand-friendly dashboards (via Power BI).
3-5 years’ experience in merchandise planning in the ecommerce and/or Omni-Channel sector. Experience in ecommerce trading is a plus.
Ability to manage organisational complexity and effective communication.
Ability to proactively influence and collaborate with a variety of teams.
Outstanding analytical and data management skills.
Entrepreneurial attitude and willingness to take on challenges.
Strong organizational skills, ability to manage complex projects whilst sticking to critical timelines and deadlines.
A keen interest in constant improvement and innovation.
Excellent command of written and spoken English.
Excellent knowledge of Excel and Microsoft package. Experience with analytical/software suites (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc...). Knowledge of SAP, Tableau, Power BI and BI systems is a plus.
