About us

Our Business Unit Pharmaceutical Systems is one of the world's leading manufacturers of pharmaceutical primary packaging and analytical lab services. More than 600 production lines in 13 countries worldwide produce more than 10 billion syringes, vials, ampoules, cartridges and special articles of tubing glass or polymer.

Your Contribution
  • As Team Leader you lead a talented team of process engineers to develop the latest generation processes to produce glass syringes at SCHOTT Pharma. You coach your team members, build competences in the team and develop your people to the next level.

  • You represent glass syringes process engineering in the organization, especially in front of upper management.

  • You share the vision of and strictly align with other product, process and engineering team leaders within global R&D. You also work closely with the production managers and take responsibility for delivering high-quality production processes to the sites.

  • You plan and coordinate resources to support in a timely manner complex innovation, customer specific and expansion projects and support your engineers in dealing with internal and external interfaces.

  • You secure together with your team the intellectual property of new processes and technologies.

  • You assess costs and timelines of process development work packages and projects.

Your Profile
  • University degree in Life Science or Engineering (e.g. process/manufacturing engineering, pharmaceutical engineering, biotechnology, mechanical engineering, materials engineering)

  • 5+ years of process engineering experience and min. 3 years of leadership experience

  • Experience and strong knowledge of process development of medical devices or pharmaceutical packaging with a knowledge of process qualification and validation as well as GMP (21 CFR 820; ISO 13485; ISO 15378)

  • Experienced in working with multidisciplinary and multi-cultural teams with excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Strong analytical skills, structured working style and ability to prioritize

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to motivate and guide team members

  • Fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
