Strategic Product Manager Software Platforms

As Strategic Product Manager for the Next Generation Software Platforms in our Hearing Instrument Business Unit, you will be responsible for driving innovation, addressing future customer needs, and creating competitive digital solutions. You will oversee the development of our next-generation clinical software and mobile applications for end-users.

Collaborating closely with Research and Development, Marketing and Sales, you will shape and deliver cutting-edge products and technologies that impact the hearing healthcare industry.

Your role will involve identifying customer pain points, developing strategic solutions, roadmaps, and overseeing the concept development and downstream hand-over of new, digital solutions.

Your tasks

Software Product Roadmap and Planning

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive feature and platform roadmap that aligns with the business unit's strategic goals and addresses relevant customer needs
  • Prioritize features and enhancements based on business impact, market demand, and technical feasibility
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to define product requirements, specifications, and timelines

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with R&D, engineering, user experience design, and marketing teams to ensure successful concept development, handover to brand marketing for commercial implementation and launch
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between teams, ensuring everyone is aligned and working towards common goals
  • Provide guidance and support to the relevant stakeholders (esp. R&D) throughout the concept development lifecycle

Competitive Analysis and Solutions

  • Conduct conjoint competitive analysis to identify market gaps and opportunities for differentiation in the hearing device industry
  • Collaborate with R&D to conceptualize and create innovative, competitive solutions that address customer needs and solve relevant problems
  • Leverage industry best practices and emerging technologies to develop unique value propositions

Your profile

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Software Business, Software Engineering) 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as Software Product Manager, ideally in the med-tech, healthcare or similar industries
  • Demonstrated experience in driving the development and launch of successful digital products 
  • Domain knowledge in hearing healthcare or in-depth know-how of the hearing device industry is a plus
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify customer needs and develop innovative solutions
  • Outstanding conceptual and analytical thinking
  • Enjoyment for business and technological complexity
  • Ability to facilitate cross functional group discussions
  • Excellent presenter
  • Fluent in English both in writing and spoken; German and/or French is a plus
