The Airspace and IFP unit ensures the ongoing delivery of Skyguide's core Airspace, and Instrument Flight Procedure Design Services through strong and close collaboration with the Swiss regulatory authority, the Swiss Air Force, the airspace users as well as relevant national, international and internal stakeholders. We work with key partners, stakeholders and customers to continually improve the systems and business processes to improve the safety and capacity in Air Navigation within Switzerland and abroad.
Your responsibilities:
- Conduct development, maintenance, review and implementation of instrument flight procedures on national and international level
- Ensure adequate airspace structures for protection of the intended air traffic and associated services
- Interact with customers and stakeholders to ensure a high-quality service delivery in line with latest international, national and Skyguide-internal legislation and regulation
- Handle FPD and ASD activities to ensure correct and timely outcome
- Interact with stakeholders to ensure customer-focused service delivery
- Contribute to the continuous development of the unit to ensure highest standards in compliance, efficiency and effectiveness
Your profile:
- Knowledge in the field of Air Traffic Management (ATM)
- Specialized aviation training or equivalent work background (ATM, ATC, pilot, engineer/informatics degree with experience in ATM or similar) are an asset
- An understanding of ICAO, Swiss and European legislation governing the aviation sector - knowledge in FPD regulations are an asset
- High willingness to learn Airspace and IFP Design regulation, criteria and working methods
- Strong quality, customer and solution orientation
- Advanced communication and inter-personal skills with demonstrated stakeholder management
- English, fluency in German or French is an asset
