We are looking for a compliance officer for a generalist position for a private bank in Geneva.

• Mandatory: S2i core banking system knowledge and between 3-5 years experience maximum
• Nice to have: Middle east region compliance knowledge and Arabic language

Description

• Analyze account opening documentation in compliance with relevant regulations (CDB, AMLA, AMLO, FINMA, QI-FATCA, CRS, FINSA).
• Ensure accurate processing of client relationships in the core banking system (S2i).
• Conduct second-level controls on scanning and archiving documentation in the core banking system (S2i).
• Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of compliance procedures, particularly in Onboarding/Due Diligence processes.
• Monitor AML activities including handling name screening and transactional alerts using external tools.
• Perform second-level controls for various tasks, ensuring proper documentation of instruction orders and liaising with Private Bankers for required evidences.
• Collaborate closely with the Head of Compliance and departmental staff in daily operations.

Profile

• Minimum of 3 years of proven compliance, legal, or regulatory experience in the financial services industry, ideally in private banking.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Arabic reading ability is advantageous.
• Familiarity with the S2i banking system is preferred.
• Demonstrates initiative, proactiveness, and resourcefulness in problem-solving.
• Capable of working effectively under pressure and as part of a team.
• Possesses excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively in an international environment.
• Proficiency in banking IT systems, particularly S2i, Pythagoras, or Transaction Screening Services, is a plus.
