We are looking for an experienced risk management professional to support the risk management framework for industrial assets, based in Switzerland. If you have an interest in integrating risk into business processes to inform decision making and have a proven history of partnering with the business to improve outcomes, this is the ideal role for you.

Glencore has published its Group Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Policy for Industrial Assets, supported by the Group ERM Standard, the Glencore Enterprise Risk Matrix, and the Glencore Risk Taxonomy. An integrated Risk, Audit and Action Management software platform is being implemented.

The Manager – Enterprise Risk is responsible for assisting the Head of Enterprise Risk for Industrial Assets in integrating good Risk Management within existing business processes, partnering with the business to improve risk management maturity and effectiveness, and implementing the integrated software platform.

The Manager – Enterprise Risk is responsible for assisting the Head of Enterprise Risk for Industrial Assets in integrating good Risk Management within existing business processes, partnering with the business to improve risk management maturity and effectiveness, and implementing the integrated software platform.

The main tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Support the Head of Enterprise Risk for Industrial Assets in the implementation of the Glencore risk management framework.

  • Provide guidance and training on the Risk Management tools, supporting the Head of Enterprise Risk for Industrial Assets and assisting key business stakeholders.

  • Provide expert help-chain support on the use of the Risk Management and Risk Assessment tools.

  • Provide support to department Risk Management leads (and asset Risk Management leads, as appropriate) and Group Functional Department leads on a range of special projects.

  • Assist the integrated Risk, Audit and Action Management software platform project develop and integrate Risk Management and reporting workflows into the software platform design, in consultation with the relevant business process owners and the project team members, supporting the Head of Enterprise Risk for Industrial Assets.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications at degree level, preferably in a technical field, with extensive post-graduate career experience.

  • At least 10 years of relevant industrial experience.

  • At least 5 years of experience in Risk Management, with a proven history of informing and influencing business decisions.

  • Exemplary communication and presentation skills to a range of stakeholders including senior management, with a keen eye and attention to detail.

  • Fluency in English, with proficiency in Spanish or French being beneficial.

The ideal candidate is:

  • Self-motivated; able to prioritise multiple tasks and work in a self-directed manner.

  • Familiar with multi-site, multi-national environments.

  • Experienced in major project risk reviews and due diligence activities.
