About the job:

• Develop and execute a risk-based internal audit plan in alignment with the bank's objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and manage an international team of internal auditors, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Conduct comprehensive audits of various business areas, including but not limited to, operations, finance, compliance, and IT, to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate closely with senior management, risk and compliance functions, and external stakeholders to communicate audit findings, recommendations, and remediation plans.
• Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to continuously enhance the internal audit framework and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Drive initiatives to streamline audit processes, leverage technology, and enhance efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

About the candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA) preferred.
• Proven experience (6+ years) in internal audit within the financial services industry, preferably within private banking or wealth management.
• Strong knowledge of the Swiss and European regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to internal audit, risk management, and compliance.
• Exceptional leadership abilities with a demonstrated track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to think strategically, identify key risks, and develop effective audit plans and recommendations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in utilizing audit tools and technologies to enhance audit processes and data analytics capabilities.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in German or other languages is a plus.
