Your job

We are recruiting for an experienced Lighting Designer to join us for a period of maternity cover which will run until June 2025 (possibly longer).

The Lighting Designer job

• Close collaboration with the sales team, providing expert advice on projects, offering the highest level of lighting design and support on projects from concept stage to delivery.
• Understand specifications and requirements of a project from a technical and commercial perspective by consultation and questioning project briefs.
• Create designs and prepare the projects for the next stage by producing quantity schedules, technical calculations, CAD drawings, information packs and client presentations.
• Provide advice on standards, products, lighting technology and product placement internally as well as externally.
• Understand the big picture of a project and support in the achievement of sales targets.

Your profile

• A technical education as an electrical engineer or architect and experience of lighting and lighting design.
• An excellent knowledge of lighting terminology and are fully conversant with the industry product types.
• A good communicator who can work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
• The ability to perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Encounter challenges with a positive attitude and have an interest in technology.
• A curious mind with a desire for continuous improvement and development.
• High level of lighting design skills with Dialux / Relux.
• Full professional proficiency in the local language with good English skills.
