As a Project Procurement Manager your key deliverable will be international procurement of components, functional units and services for plant construction. You will make sure that requirements in the dimensions cost, quality and time are fulfilled in the best possible way. Coordination of supply chain activities within SCM and at interfaces to other departments are a key success factor. Besides your role in contract execution you will take over strategic responsibility for a commodity group including negotiation of frame agreements. You will also actively be involved in cross-functional activities to optimise total cost for existing and new products. Deadline and quality monitoring, claim management and control of accounts payable complete the duties of this varied position.
We are looking for candidates with several years’ professional experience in the international, project-related procurement sector to fill this interesting position. You will have a comprehensive technical understanding, ideally based on a technical education, and will also have a thorough training in commerce (buyer with Federal diploma or similar). Experience in the export sector or in freight forwarding would be advantageous for this position. We expect you to be able to work as part of a team and be assertive and have technical and commercial negotiation skills. We also require a professional knowledge of MS Office and SAP, as well as business fluent English and a willingness to travel internationally for this position. Italian or Chinese would be an advantage.
