Overview AC Immune is a clinical-stage Swiss Biotech Company focused on the development of innovative
therapeutics and diagnostics for Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases. This role is a key
component of our Portfolio and Program Management (PPM) team.
Program Management is focused on ensuring successful achievement of Program objectives on-time and
within approved budget in line with the company’s governance and tools, and the Portfolio Management
component provide a strategic pipeline view to ensure that the organization achieves value-driven goals.
As a member of PPM, you are a critical strategic partner, enabling the Research, and Clinical stage Product
teams and governance bodies to make excellent decision, navigate the future, enabling novel therapeutics
to be brought to patients. The role requires interactions with leadership partners from across Research,
Clinical, Development Sciences, Manufacturing, Regulatory and Finance teams.
Key •Provide mentorship and project management expertise to Research and Development program teams
responsibilities on all aspects of product development
Act as a strategic partner for key members of the Research and Development leadership teams
For specific projects, act as the global project lead
Provide guidance, from drug discovery through to preparation for clinical trials, enabling efficient and
effective progression of the company’s portfolio as agreed with the relevant decision-making structure
Ensure clear development and translation of molecule strategy to coordinated execution plans across
program sub-teams to ensure aligned execution of the asset strategy
Keep teams on track to deliver short, mid and long-term activities to achieve team objectives and lead
planning projections effectively to ensure timely and coherent outlook, business and meeting
management expectations
Provide portfolio wide perspectives on topics involving drug development risk, R&D effectiveness,
efficiency and innovation
Provide portfolio insights for leadership to guide near and long-term planning
Ensure excellent portfolio management by placing individual decisions into the context of the broader
pipeline
Provide portfolio context and data-driven insights
Observe pharma trends and competitive insights, bring findings from other industries, and implications
of trends and patterns, lead and lag indicators
Qualifications
15+ years’ experience combining science, strategy, business as part of a team that brings life-saving
diagnostics, therapeutics and vaccines to patients
Strong knowledge and understanding of global product development in the pharmaceutical industry
Significant people leadership experience with cross-functional, global teams; experience facilitating
multi-disciplinary commercial stakeholders is also desirable
A minimum of a MS in scientific discipline, or MBA with relevant pharmaceutical industry experience
Proficient public speaker, presentation delivery, and report writing in English
