Security Firewall Engineer, Zurich.

A leading Swiss IT service provider seeks a highly skilled Security Engineer to join their dynamic team. You'll play a vital role in safeguarding the company's IT infrastructure and ensuring the security of its digital production and distribution systems.

Who You Are:

• A seasoned cybersecurity professional with 5+ years of experience in security operations and engineering.
• Adept at planning, designing, implementing, and operating robust security solutions.
• A strong analytical thinker with experience in incident response, threat detection, and vulnerability management.
• Proficient in firewalls, proxy systems, remote access solutions, network and security analysis tools.
• Familiar with authentication procedures, web application firewalls, VPN technologies, and cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure).
• Possesses experience with SIEM systems and security orchestration & automation (SO&A).
• Enjoys working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in German and English, with additional languages a plus.
• Holds recognized security certifications (CISSP, CEH, etc.) or manufacturer certifications preferred.
• A keen learner with a desire to stay current on evolving cyber threats.

What You'll Do:

• Participate in the ongoing operation and development of national security platforms.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level technical support, including on-call duties.
• Offer expert advice and support to colleagues, project managers, and customers.
• Take ownership of specific security systems.
• Contribute to project teams across all phases, from planning and design to implementation and configuration.
