Global Head Finance & Private Equity

We are looking for a client oriented Global Head Finance & Private Equity that will be leading a team of 7+ professionals managing three reporting lines (Corporate Services & Private Equity Execution, Accounting & Controlling, Risk Management), with the following tasks/operations:

Corporate Services

  • Provide high quality corporate administrative services to a portfolio of regulated funds, offshore companies, asset management companies, service companies globally;
  • Create, dissolve, administrate regulated funds, offshore companies and administer private equity transactions in close collaboration with the legal & compliance team and the advisory desk;
  • Establish, work closely with all relevant stakeholders of the group such as fund administrators, auditors, banks, regulatory bodies and other service providers in various jurisdictions;
  • Improve existing corporate administrative and accounting services in terms of quality, efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Monitor/manage all outsourced accounting processes (mainly funds and investment vehicles) globally.

Private Equity Execution & Corporate Governance

  • Overall responsibility for the implementation of cross-border private equity transactions (due diligence, valuation, risk management, stakeholder management etc.);
  • Oversee and implement corporate governance measures in regards to private equity portfolio companies;
  • Close collaboration with the relationship managers and frequent client interaction concerning all transactions and existing client relationships;
  • Sparring partner for feasibility of new transactions for clients.

Finance, Accounting & Controlling

  • Oversee and lead the finance, accounting & controlling function of the of the group;
  • Responsible for all financial accounts for all operative (and investment) entities of the group;
  • Manage all corporate payments and the groups’ invoicing process, corporate taxes, corporate financial planning and budgeting;
  • Perform controlling for the groups’ financials activities and costs;
  • Responsible for audit of the group and the funds managed by Monterosa;
  • Oversee and manage the groups’ cash management process;
  • Responsible for the group taxes.

Risk Management

  • Oversee and lead the risk management function of the of the group;
  • Monitoring of all business activities in all aspects related to financial risks including the groups’ risk-reporting and policies;
  • Oversight over credit approval process for dedicated portfolios.

Requirements / Experience

  • Master’s Degree (or similar) in business administration, finance/controlling or law and relevant work experience; Any additional certification CAIA, CFA, CPA advantageous;
  • Management skills and experience in leading people;
  • Transaction Services experience desired (Financial due diligence private equity, mergers & acquisitions);
  • Proven know how of accounting practices, company administration, laws and regulations of asset structuring, mergers & acquisitions;
  • Proven skills and working knowledge about the concepts and practices of risk controlling, risk management and financial products;
  • Understanding of compliance, financial market regulations and financial products advantageous;
  • Multi-disciplinary technical expertise in accounting, corporate administration, financial planning, taxes and preferably exposure to private banking / wealth structuring / investment management;
  • Strong organizational skills, able to handle several responsibilities with shifting priorities and capable to meet deadlines;
  • High degree of accuracy, persistency and attention to detail coupled with a structured and pragmatic work approach;
  • Strong service attitude, team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, willing to work in an interdisciplinary team;
  • Good presentation skills with a distinct ability to present technical matters in an efficient and comprehensible way;
  • Proficient in both, English and German, spoken and written.
