HR LEADER GCSO/BD and Site HR Lead (f/m/d)

The HR Leader, Global Commercial and Strategic Operations (GCSO) Therapeutic Area (TA) Pulmonary Hypertension (PH), Business Development (BD) Switzerland/HR site lead Actelion will actively support business leaders to drive the talent agenda to enable business results through Coaching, Talent Management, Organizational Design, Change Management, and Business Partnering. They will address complex organizational challenges by providing HR leadership in support of local business goals, enterprise and sector HR strategies. Ensuring continued integration activities of acquired Actelion businesses into Johnson&Johnson.

The Site HR Leader, GCSO/BD TA PH Actelion is responsible for managing the HR work for the assigned client groups within their team and ensuring the delivery of an integrated HR strategy for their respective client organization by establishing priorities, aligning resources and managing the implementation activities of the local HR team.

 YOUR responsibilities & YOUR impact:

  • Responsibility and accountability for overall HR activities, strategy and planning for Swiss GCSO/BD TA PH organization and lead HR activities related to the Allschwil site
  • Deploy global/standardized HR strategy in partnership with local Business leaders to drive the achievement of business objectives in the following areas: organizational design, succession planning, career management, performance management, and workforce planning
  • Drive a strong culture through application of organizational development interventions, coaching and business partnership with leadership
  • Lead geography HR team, either through direct reporting or through matrix, as needed
  • Access and derive insights from HR Dashboard of talent analytics to inform talent strategies in the development of diverse leadership talent and technical capability across the business
  • Partner with the Global or Cross Sector Function leaders to shape define culture, Credo, employee engagement and change initiatives and implementation plans
  • Identify key capabilities aligned with business goals, conducts gap analysis and develops and implements buy/build strategies in partnership with business leaders
  • Manage the portfolio of HR work for Senior Leaders within GCSO and related functions in support of business goals, enterprise and sector HR strategies
  • Play a consultative role in employee communication in change initiatives within client groups
  • Instill cultural discipline to ensure global deployment of core processes and program across GCSO TA PH

 We would love to hear from YOU, if you have: 

  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources, preferably in International HR management
  • 15 + years professional experience in a HR function
  • 8+ years in people management including coaching and leading talent
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive senior HR and HR related experience such as implementing a shared service organization
  • Experience with innovative change efforts, including developing and implementing detailed change management plans
  • Proven success in managing business stakeholders over multiple countries and organisations (Local vs Regional vs Global)
  • Understanding of European labour law (WorkCouncils)
  • Must have extensive experience in a complex matrix based organization
  • Experience with transformation projects.
  • Experience managing a team of HR professionals and leaders
  • Must have experience in the health care and pharmaceutical and medical device industry
  • Strong experience with compliance and ethnical work within health care industry
  • Relationship management, coaching and collaboration skills.
  • Influence, shaping solutions negotiation and partnership skills
  • Embodies strong interpersonal, consultative and facilitation skills.
  • Experience of driving strategic change to meet changing business needs, and exploring new business models
  • Strong technical expertise with WorkDay (HR) and Taleo (Recruitment) and other related talent management technology such as WorkForce DNA (beneficial) and reporting capabilities.
  • Business proficiency in English
  • Strong HR experience with Sales
