AiSight builds a plug-and-play hardware and software solution that uses machine data, to predict and prevent machine malfunction using self-learning AI algorithms. This tremendously increases machine uptime, output and productivity and significantly cuts companies service and maintenance costs. 

Our Team is holding master’s degrees from respected universities such as ETH Zurich, ESCP Europe, UC Berkeley and Zeppelin University. Additionally, we have many years of professional experience each, at companies like Porsche, Bilfinger Berger, ABB, Holtzbrinck Digital or BTG Pactual and multiple startups in the Silicon Valley, Southeast Asia, Brazil and Berlin. We recently secured a major financing round.

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern with a strong engineering background at our humble enterprise.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You’ll support design, validation and reliability testing of our sensor node.
  • You’ll assemble and verify test setups and perform rigorous tests to ensure system performance and endurance.
  • You’ll generate detailed test reports comparing observed behavior against expected behavior that is derived from the specification.
  • You’ll simulate sensor node behavior under different environmental & physical conditions and utilize the insights to improve the mechanical design. 

Who we are looking for:

  • You are excited by complex problems, love to code, have a hands-on mentality and you are passionate about the latest developments in electrical or mechanical hardware design and building your own test setups.
  • You have a BS or MS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • You have exceptional competence in the following areas: Mechanical and Electrical design, 3D modelling (Solid Works, Fusion 360 etc.) and simulations (Comsol, Ansys etc.).
  • Big plus: You gained exceptional programming and debugging skills – LabView, C/C++, Python, Matlab or other test software
