IT System Engineer

Urban Games is an independent PC video game developer based in Schaffhausen, located centrally and just 36 minutes from Zurich. Urban Games’ third title, Transport Fever 2, was successfully released in late 2019 and enables the company to continue growing. An IT system engineer is responsible for the company’s IT infrastructure and implements systems for automated game testing, building, deployment and crash reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the company’s IT infrastructure

• Develop an automated game testing system

• Improve the build and deployment pipeline

• Extend the game crash report and analysis system

• Design and implement various in-house systems and tools

• Assist in scripting and web development

Requirements:

• Solid knowledge of system administration (Windows/Linux)

• Excellent scripting skills (Python, Shell, Bat etc.)

• Experience with web development

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks

• German and English communication and writing skills (B2 at least)

Preferences:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field

• Experience in operating CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with repository administration (SVN/Git)

• Experience with build systems such as CMake

• Experience with databases such as CouchDB

• Experience with C++ development
