As our new Market Sustainability Delivery Manager, you will be working in a cross-functional team that is focused on measuring, analysing and improving our carbon emissions. You will support the sustainability transformation and roadmap of Nestlé Switzerland, with a focus on coordinating and ensuring the completion of climate, sourcing, water, and packaging projects. You will also oversee cost and benefits at the market level and may act as the deputy for the Sustainability Lead on specific sustainability topics.

A Day in the Life of a Market Sustainability Delivery Manager

  • Coordinate the implementation of the market sustainability strategy and contribute to the definition of the Zone/Categories strategy by sharing local insights and proposing new projects/ideas/trends
  • Monitor and evaluate progress in relation to sustainability targets and initiatives, enabling cost & benefits oversight over climate, sourcing, water and packaging projects
  • Support customer & industry partnerships and assist with data exchange, sustainability questionnaires & presentations as well as the development of joint projects focused on recycling, logistics optimization, and sustainable energy solutions
  • Coordinate efforts to obtain external certifications (e.g. B-Corp), provide support in preparing substantiation for ESG communication and manage sustainability/technical data and guidance
  • Monitor key market ESG KPIs, track cost and benefits for market-led projects, and ensure compliance with local ESG legal requirements
  • Support the preparation and verification of quantitative ESG data for audit purposes and ensure sustainability KPIs are included in business and brand reports
  • Support sustainability project management for market-led projects (e.g. circularity, new business models) and collaborate with external agencies, advisors and experts to gain insights and guidance
  • Provide functional training and knowledge on sustainability, act as a role model, and develop sustainability knowledge and capabilities across the market
  • Share and implement best practices across functions, markets, and categories
  • Support internal and external advocacy efforts relevant to sustainability expertise and engage with stakeholders to build partnerships and collaborations

What will make you successful

  • Proven track record in managing complex sustainability projects
  • Experience in managing the data analytics and reporting of sustainability projects
  • Ability to successfully implement and deliver initiatives on the ground, ensuring follow-up in a complex matrix involving the Zone, functions, and categories
  • Strong analytical skills to assess sustainability performance and risks
  • Proficient in handling data, numbers, and scientific information
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex sustainability concepts
  • You can confidently represent Nestlé Switzerland internally and externally
  • An end-to-end mindset and strongly driven to achieve tangible results
  • Fluent in German, French and English
