Siemens SI-RSS-EPS business is looking for aDecarbonization Advisory Expertfor its Sustainability Advisory Business (SAB). The shift to net-zero is transforming the worldwide economy, creating fresh opportunities while also posing risks of ill-informed, unacceptable, and underperforming decarbonization strategies. Corporates are confronted with several essential tasks: lowering emissions, guaranteeing the cost-effectiveness of energy and materials, establishing dependable and secure energy systems, and enhancing competitiveness. To address these challenges effectively, the SAB business will provide the necessary advisory and planning support to business leaders by leveraging on the deep and expansive Siemens knowledge and experience

The SAB services include well-informed strategy formulation, goal setting, planning, road mapping, regulatory compliance, benchmarking, and assessment, to lay a solid foundation for implementing, decarbonization projects, technologies, and delivering continuous improvements through performance services

In this role as aDecarbonization Strategy Advisory Expert, you will help our clients in the private, public, and social sectors to solve their sustainability and decarbonization challenges. You will also work closely with a range of experts in the firm, from sustainability champions to energy performance and technology and services leaders

Location:Our new colleague may work from Zug - Switzerland or any EMEA locations, with a bigger Siemens EPS office. No relocation will be required

Your new responsibilities

• Develop profound Decarbonization Roadmaps (mainly focusing on Scope 1+2 GHG Emissions) - containing technical solutions, CAPEX and OPEX, with focus on scalable implementation and economic optimum, considering timelines, funding schemes and business models, organizational structures of our international customers in industrial manufacturing and complex building infrastructure
• Develop hands on strategies together with our customers for rolling out of the Decarbonization Roadmaps within customers' organizations in line with the Siemens Offering
• Translate performance of decarbonization actions into tangible sustainability KPI's to help our customers transparently report on their sustainability activities
• Work jointly with our international technology and business experts, which provide technical decarbonization solutions to our customers with adequate business models, to underly the high-level climate strategies of our customers with concrete actions, roll out and monitoring plans on organizational and site level
• Focus on concise translation of technical information into easily accessible, original and high-quality visuals and presentations that empower and motivate customer business leaders.
• Communicate effectively with all audiences, including senior leaders, facility management, production managers, business administration and technicians in a structured and objective oriented manner
• Communicate with external stakeholders to gather information about their business processes, sustainability goals, and decarbonization challenges
• Synthesize complex information into clear takeaways and recommendations using both qualitative and quantitative methods
• Work effectively with diverse teams to come up with the best solution and move people and organizations of our customers to act
• Monitor and conduct active research and analysis of Sustainability and ESG related regulatory information and industry data and trends in cooperation with our regional experts to assess impacts and opportunities in the market
• Assist in business development including support in developing market studies, communication material, sales presentations and go to market
• Develop a strong working relationship with internal stakeholders such as the Energy & Performance Services (EPS) country teams, Sales, Marketing and Strategy Teams

Your talents and experience

• Master's degree in Engineering, Finance, Environmental Sciences, and/or Economics with prior relevant experience preferably in design and implementation of complex energy related decarbonization projects in industries and building infrastructure
• 8 to 10 years of solid expertise in organizational and technical decarbonization Advisory roles (incl. knowledge of technical solutions and its details)
• Be able to develop deep understanding of the business context and technical landscape, especially on Sustainability and ESG related topics
• Profound knowledge in Green House Gas Accounting and Climate Change related Regulations
• Profound knowledge in Sustainability related Reporting Schemes
• Analytical thinking for translating complex and unstructured data into meaningful statistics and information
• Excellent presentation skills and creativity with ability to visually and verbally express content to motivate business leaders, esp. C-suite executives but also facility managers, production managers, business administrators and technicians
• High proficiency in computer tools such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and any other research, analysis, and presentation tools
• Ability to work towards strict deadlines, manage and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work with global virtual teams/ clients
• Commitment to international travel (30-40% of working time)
• Proactiveness, planning, organizing and attention to details
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Fluency in English
