To complete our team, we are looking for a:


Extended Support Programme Assistant - one year contract

Part-time – 16  Hour(s)


Responsibilities:



  • work with individual students, or very small groups, under the supervision of the specialist teacher

  • actively support individual students in the mainstream class in collaboration with the class teacher

  • plan and prepare adapted or modified pedagogical and teaching material

  • provide appropriate and specific feedback to the ESP teacher or class teacher on student achievement and behavior

  • take an active role in weekly team meetings, meetings with parents and student ILP meetings

  • take an active role in the greater school community

  • student well-being - carry out break time and lunch time supervision as required


Candidate requirements



  • appropriate university-level qualifications – with ability to teach Middle School aged students

  • 3 years experience & training in working with students with significant special needs – ASD, Behaviour Management, LD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dsycalculia, Dyspraxia

  • energy, dynamism, determination, autonomy

  • open-mindedness, awareness of, and interest in pedagogical approaches and young learners with diverse abilities

  • confident in the use of ICT and willing to develop expertise necessary in a school setting, including the use of assistive technology

  • work well as a member of a multidisciplinary team

  • be patient and have a degree of flexibility, creativity and passion for this kind of work

  • follow an individualized professional development programme

  • bilingual
