For our new Technology Center in Schaffhausen (Switzerland) we are looking for a Global Category Manager Diamides (m/f/d)

FMC is currently looking for a highly competent Global Category Manager, responsible for managing the commercial and strategic sourcing activity related to FMC’s Diamide Portfolio worldwide. FMC’s pipeline and Diamide portfolio are world renowned and critically acclaimed. For your work tied to the Diamides you will work closely with FMC’s supply chain & Operations team, as well as FMC’s Global Marketing team to help support the existing long-term strategy for growth.

You will report into the Global Category Leader for Active Ingredients & Intermediates and are responsible for the leadership, growth and success of an outstanding team reporting directly into you.

What you do with us

• You complete comprehensive evaluation of existing end to end approach and identify areas of change to ensure complete alignment with long term plan.
• You understand, model and conduct cost-analysis activities (Total Cost of Ownership) in partnership with finance, Operation and Technical to identify saving opportunities.
• You develop Market Intelligence to inform the best set of actions to manage pressures from the market
• You lead Contract negotiation ensuring the most beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers in line with the strategy.
• You collaborate with Global Marketing and Supply Chain & Operations to ensure full procurement alignment with long-term diamide strategy.
• You develop full execution plan to implement successfully and execute on finalized strategic decision in a timely manner.
• You develop continuous improvement process to ensure assumptions made during planning remain valid, if not, determine path forward for appropriate adjustment to ensure continued success.

Your qualification

• Bachelor’s degree, and a minimum of 5 years work experience. Majority of work experience should relate to Procurement
• 2+ years of people management experience
• Strategic sourcing expertise within complex global organizations.
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, a proven influencer.
• Demonstrated experience managing senior internal stakeholders and senior external supply partners.
