The primary purpose of the Junior Operator is to execute efficient handling of transactions, with timely and accurate administration and data entry, directly contributing to maximize the traders’ P&L.

Job purpose:

• Contract Management (verifications of T&Cs, data, execution, …)
• Financial Security (LC request and review)
• Cargo Management (nominations, documentary instructions, Q&Q, cargo invoices…)
• Vessels Management (clearing, load/discharge orders, shipping invoices, …)
• Storage Management (instructions, reconciliation, invoices, …)
• Insurance & Claims
• Coordination and data input (ETRM, E-filing, …)

Barge Management

• Clear the nominated barges with all relevant parties – (terminal, vetting, counterparties, etc) when and where applicable.
• Read and understand the fixture provided by barge owners/barge brokers
• Issue instructions for the barge voyage via brokers/owners
• Check and process freight invoices for payment
• Assist Claims department in processing any shipping costs / claims received.
• Be familiar and understand the TTB rules (Tank-barge terms and conditions of transport)

If you have:

• A University degree;
• At least 1 year of professional experience in international logistics, preferably in a similar environment;
• Some basic petroleum knowledge and strong interest for our industry;
• Basic knowledge of oil major GT&C’s, INCO Terms, vessel particularities and freight calculations;
• Strong organizational skills;
• Positive and proactive attitude;
• Hard working and versatile;
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills. French and Russian are considered a plus.
