Finance and Accounting Specialist
Our new ETH Alumni Engagement team within the Office of the President is mandated with the conceptualisation, implementation and further development of the alumni work of ETH Zurich. Our goal is to establish and develop an attractive offer for ETH alumni, bring them closer to ETH, and activate a vibrant, global community. To provide accounting and finance support for our new team, we are seeking a reliable and detail-orientated Finance and Accounting Specialist 50%.
Your responsibilities include assisting with financial record-keeping, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. In your role you conduct the administrative accounting, generate invoices, reconcile payments-in with the ERP system and settle payments. Furthermore you support the budget process and the closing process (balance sheet and income statement) of the ETH Alumni Association. The position is initially limited until December 2025 with an option to extend.
- You have a basic commercial qualification/degree and several years of professional experience in finance and accounting
- You have strong numerical skills, proficiency in accounting software (preferably Abacus)
- You have experience working with databases and CRM/ERP systems
- You have very good language skills in both English and German (oral and written)
