Junior Assistant Accounting Officer

About the role

This position plays a key role in the Capital Markets Services team. Reporting to the (Senior) Accounting officer, we are looking for a finance/legal specialist who can assist the Senior Accounting Officers with managing a large and complex portfolio of corporate client structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with excel based reports, reporting software and related administrative tasks
  • Preparing correspondence (i.e. emails, faxes and letters) for clients, advisors and third parties
  • Preparing minutes of meetings of the board of directors and of meetings of the shareholders for client companies
  • Preparing account opening forms and bank transfer orders for client companies, and arranging for follow up with the bank
  • Preparing and amending documents (e.g. agreements, powers of attorney, periodical reports and certificates) for client companies
  • Arranging for proper and timely sending of correspondence by email, fax, mail and/or courier
  • Handling telephone calls with clients, advisors and third parties and taking messages where appropriate
  • Co-ordinating client services with colleagues (from other departments and offices), advisors and third parties
  • Co-ordinating and arranging for the completion and keeping up to date of KYC-information
  • Filing and archiving of documents and information in appropriate files and software
  • Accurate registration of time spent during working day
  • Co-operating with the issuing of invoices
  • Co-operating with the obtaining of payment from debtors
  • Updating and maintaining our storing system (View Point) to include all information on client companies (e.g. status shareholders meeting and contact details); to be further determined in co-operation with the (Senior) Accounting Officer;
  • Maintaining Viewpoint on an on-going basis

About you…

  • Ideally a Swiss university degree (law or finance) with previous experience similar position gained in a corporate client services environment.
  • Strong written communication skills with proven ability in the use of English and German
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, flexible, and able to adjust to changing work demands.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
