Frontend Software Engineer (React)
SPEAG, together with its partner organizations Foundation for Research on Information Technologies in Society (IT’IS), ZMT Zurich MedTech AG (ZMT), and TI Solutions AG (TI Solutions), form the Zurich43 alliance. Z43’s dedicated mission is to expand the knowledge and technology for (i) characterization, optimization, and application of the electromagnetic (EM) near-field, (ii) predictive modeling of interactions between physical agents and physiology in complex anatomies, and (iii) medical applications.
We are looking for an experienced new team member who will contribute to developing our advanced measurement and test system.
Your challenges:
- Development of a user-friendly and reliable frontend for engineering test and measurement software
- Working on a data-intensive UI with high-frequency updates
- Translation of complex test workflows into easy-to-use and intuitive user interfaces
Your strengths:
- University or technical college degree (Bachelor, Master, or PhD) in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, and/or a degree in visual design/visual arts (or equivalent expertise)
- At least 3 years of experience in software development using Python, Javascript, and the React framework
- Additional knowledge about Typescript, Redux, Vue.js, and Material-UI is a plus
- Experience with the design and implementation of reusable UI components and unit tests
- Know-how in complex model-based web forms generation
- Experience with client-server APIs (WebSocket, REST)
- Understanding or background in UX/UI design principles will be considered a plus
- Bringing a flair for aesthetics, along with a self-motivated and proactive approach to contributing to appealing UI designs is recommended
- Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to the highest quality standard of work
- Self-motivation, good organizational and communication skills, impeccable attention to detail, friendly personality, and team-spirit
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, to work independently in a fast-paced setting, and to meet tight deadlines
- Commitment to effectively respond to the needs of partners and customers
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken), ability to communicate in German is a plus
