Type of contract: Permanent contract 
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in sales or marketing, ideally gained in the Food Industry
Fluent in English, German and French 

Position Summary

As a Junior Commercial Category Development Manager, you are the expert of the culinary category on all commercial levers. You conduct shopper-data analysis for the relevant channels and work in collaboration with sales and marketing to bring our food products to life at our customers.

A day in the life of a Junior Commercial Category Development Manager
  • Analyze shopper and channel data to give recommendation to relevant processes, such as product assortment, planogram or pricing strategy
  • Define channel targeted product assortment and lay outing guidelines 
  • Analyze promotional data to design promotion guidelines 
  • Identify most relevant touch points and POP/POS material per channel for the category
  • Support annual customer planning in order to leverage all commercial opportunities
  • Develop best in class selling stories for customer negotiations based on category & shopper insights 
  • Accompany Key Account Manager to customer negotiations as a category and channel expert 
  • Brief field sales teams to ensure best in class execution at the Point of sale
What will make you successful
  • Bachelor's or master's University degree in Marketing or Sales or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in sales or marketing experience, ideally gained in the Food industry
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and conceptual thinking
  • Outstanding analytical skills
  • Ability to handle complex Data, knowledge of AC Nielsen is a plus
  • Driving license
  • Fluent in German, French and English
