For the European Headquarters, based in Winterthur (Switzerland), we are looking for a

Legal Trainee 100%

In your role as a legal trainee, you will be a member of the Legal Department EMEA of Zimmer Biomet, a dedicated team whose responsibility covers EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) territory. You will be based in Winterthur in the European HQ of Zimmer. In this position you'll report to a senior member of the legal team and provide support with respect to the assigned responsibilities. The Legal Department EMEA takes care of all legal matters for Zimmer Biomet, mainly consisting of areas such as product liability, export markets, compliance, Human Resources, entire support for the divisions and special projects. In your daily work, you will be involved in drafting agreements and other legal documents of all nature and you will have interaction with internal and external clients as well as outside counsels. You will be responsible for providing support on a broad range of issues to the team, partly working independent and also under supervision.


Main duties are about 50% Corporate and 50% General Legal:

  • General administrative support to Legal EMEA and reply to ad hoc email requests of other cross-functional departments
  • Follow-up on signatures of legal documents for Corporate and General Legal
  • Legalisation of Legal Documents (implies visits to Notary in Winterthur and calls to Consulate Services CSW + Visa offices for apostille)
  • Consignment Agreements DACH region and UK: signature, scanning, filing, keep tracking lists update, shipment
  • Support with drafting of HCP agreements and their respective cover letter (under supervision of paralegal) in times of high workload
  • Support Corporate with Good Quality Documentation Process on Documents such as Board of directors, Yearend, Group structure, Organisation etc.
  • Special tasks for the Legal counsels ( small projects)
  • Preparing of DHL shipments (via Tool) on daily basis
  • Filing into Effacts DB corporate / Archive Legal (via Tool) on weekly basis
  • Prepare the invoices for Legal EMEA for approval and distribution to finance for final payment (incl. tracking list and monthly accruals)

 

Qualifications – Job profile requirements:

  • Fluent in German & English (one additional language such as French, Italian and/or Spanish is a plus)
  • A Team Player with some experience gained and/ or who is interested of working in a multinational company and / or legal department with international activities
  • High ethical conduct and personal integrity
  • Strong interpersonal skills, reliable and capable of working in an international environment with various clients from different culture under a minimum of supervision
  • Committed to get things done in time
  • Administrative work experience and fit in all MS-Office applications
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Very good communication skills
