Mission, role and activities:

The Graduate Institute is currently seeking a passionate, motivated, and experienced social media coordinator to oversee and execute day-to-day operations and long-term social strategy. In this role – through organisation, creative collaboration and attention to detail – you will help raise the social profile of the Institute.

The role requires setting priorities and key narratives for the Institute’s different social media channels; strategising with other teams both internally and externally; and overseeing ongoing content calendars.

This role reports into the Head of Digital Communications.


Key responsibilities :


  • Develop, execute, track, and analyse posts and campaigns across multiple social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Interact and build relationships on social media to help grow audience, influence, and engagement. Actively engage with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor audience comments.
  • Deliver targeted, comprehensive social media campaigns to meet communications objectives such as student recruitment and increasing global brand awareness.
  • Act as social media subject matter expert. Revise and update current social media guidelines and develop training workshops and documentation for all social media representatives across the Institute.
  • Analyse both the Institute’s and its competitors’ social media activity to identify opportunities to evolve content and share meaningful and actionable insights.
  • Build brand affinity and strengthen audience engagement through timely and engaging community management.
  • Measure and produce regular reports summarising the health and performance of all social activities, and assess against goals; identify trends and insight.
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.

Profile :


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Communications, or related field.
  • Minimum three to five years of proven hands-on social media experience, including reporting and producing content, and managing projects from conception through fulfilment across social channels.
  • Deep understanding of social media metrics and reporting tools, plus skilled with analytical abilities to evaluate successes and drive improvements.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Native English speaker with excellent written and verbal communications skills. Fluent in French.
  • Proficient with social media scheduling and listening tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social.
  • Fluency with social media advertising (e.g. Facebook Ads) and SEO. Experience with Google Ads would be an asset.
  • Strong problem-solving, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills across a range of tasks and audiences.
  • Need to be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, to help support specific events and initiatives.
