We are looking for you to join our team at the technical headquarters of Viking Cruises in Wiebelsheim, Rhineland-Pfalz.
YOUR TASKS:
- Insurance law administration of shipping accidents (average) in inland navigation
- Coordination of existing general average files (correspondence with maintenance managers, accountants, surveyors, lawyers, brokers and insurers) including cost control
- Commissioning of expert reports, as well as checking and forwarding of the reports to the insurance company
- Monitoring and coordination of claims settlement
- Responsible for closing files in cooperation with the accounting department
- Management of landing bridge damage and property damage ‘OnBoard’
- Management of shipping documents
YOU BRING:
- You have completed a commercial apprenticeship, preferably with knowledge and professional experience in the field of claims processing; as well as sound knowledge of legal matters, especially in claims law
- You are fluent in English and German and can also express yourself in writing in both languages without any problems; further language skills (French) are an advantage
- Confident knowledge of MS Office applications and merchandise management systems, preferably Dynamics 365
- You are characterised by a systematic and organisationally strong way of working, you can maintain an overview and meet deadlines under high workloads
- Occasional travelling within Europe is no problem for you.
