We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced child / adolescent psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team offering residential treatment programmes for children between the ages of 12- 18 years presenting with a variety of psychological and somatic health problems. 

Our international and multicultural interdisciplinary team comprises somatic, psychiatric and integrative medicine physicians, psychotherapists, nurses, nutritionists, and a variety of other complementary therapies and educators. The child/adolescent psychiatrist will take the lead for the psychiatric element of the treatment, working in collaboration with our interdisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and implement the highest quality treatment plan and also longer-term post-treatment care plans and goals.

Your Responsibilities

• Working as a key member of the psychiatric team
• Taking the lead as psychiatrist for children and adolescents for the duration of their treatment programmes
• Carrying out thorough, comprehensive psychiatry assessment, examinations, and treatment planning
• Ensuring all necessary investigations, referrals, diagnostics, indicated treatments, and follow-ups are completed
• Enabling a strong therapeutic relationship with clients, ensuring the highest quality and utmost professionalism at all times
• Collaborating with external specialists in Zurich and across the world, to ensure streamlined and seamless patient-centred psychiatric care for each client
• Fostering a unique, collaborative 360 approach to care, working alongside the in-house somatic and integrative medicine teams
• Keeping up to date with the latest evidence-based practices and new approaches to care

You are/have

• Medical specialist degree in child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy from Switzerland or from an EU/EFTA country (ideally already MEBEKO recognised). 
• It is a plus if you already hold a license to practice in Zurich, but we can also provide support with the licensing process
• Several years of experience in working with children and adolescents in a hospital and/or outpatient setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent English language skills (C1 level and up) are required. Proficiency in German at a minimum B2 level is mandatory (requirement from the authorities). Any other languages would be an asset
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
• Good knowledge of MS Office and good IT skills
• A driver’s license (Cat. B) would be an advantage
