The AO is a medically guided, not-for-profit organization led by an international group of surgeons specialized in the treatment of trauma and disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Founded in 1958 by 13 visionary surgeons, the AO fosters one of the most extensive networks of over 215,000 sur-geons, operating room personnel, and scientists in over 100 countries.

The AO Education Institute supports the AO and its Clinical Divisions to further develop and to transform medical education for our communities. The curriculum development team works closely with selected AO members who provide their clinical and procedural expertise to get the most out of both clinical and educational know-how for a curriculum consisting of a specific set of outcomes that learners should achieve, and that can be verified.

For our highly motivated international team at our offices in Davos, we are searching for a self-driven, self-confident, and proactive team player with clear communication and relationship building skills to take on the role of:

Senior Project Manager Curriculum Development (80%)

-In this role you will be responsible for the:

Development, planning, and evaluation of medical education and continuing professional development programs:

- Facilitation of the backward planning process and the needs assessment process together with physicians
- Identification of practice gaps, competencies, and learning objectives
- Establishment of overall program views considering different modalities and methods for delivery
- Setting up of event curricula and faculty syllabi selecting the appropriate learning methods in collaboration with subject matter experts

Instructional design of activities and events including development of content materials in collaboration with specialists:

- Instructional design of online educational offerings (both synchronous and asynchronous), and collaboration with other curriculum developers and education specialists
- Coordination of the production of educational and faculty support materials with internal and external specialists

Communication and reporting:

- Communication with clinical divisions in the transfer (roll-out) of programs and activities
- Reporting of progress to surgeon groups and clinical divisions

Carrying out of educational research:

- Designing and conducting educational research projects related to curricula, particularly related to online education

In order to master this challenge, you have:

- A university degree, with or without qualifications in CME/CPD
- Experience in curriculum development and medical education
- Knowledge of continuing professional development principles
- Expertise in instructional design, especially for online education
- Preferable practical insights into technology platforms (eg, Moodle-based LMS, synchronous delivery platforms)
- Project management skills
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written) and strong communication skills
- Willingness to travel and to work outside "normal" hours
- Diplomacy, coaching, and facilitation skills, especially with multicultural teams of volunteers
- A self-driven, self-confident, proactive, team player approach
