The Institute of Pathology at the University of Bern fulfils an important task in the field of diagnostic services for clinics and hospitals in the Canton of Bern.

The Translational Research Unit (TRU) is a research platform that provides technical and scientific support to our pathologists, research staff and clinical partners.
Our team coordinates and carries out projects related to histological techniques, next-generation tissue microarrays, biobanking, digital pathology, visualization (IHC/ISH), image analysis and clinical studies.

Biomedical analyst or biological laboratory technician 80-100%

* Construction of Tissue Micro Arrays (TMA; please see www.ngtma.com for details)
* Preparation of histological blocks and sections
* Scanning of slides
* Administration and management of digital data
* Administration of the Online Digital Slide Management Platform
* Coordination of these tasks for an optimal TMA workflow
* Close collaboration within the team and with doctors and researchers

* You have experience in histotechnology, histopathology
* You have good computer skills
* You are motivated to learn and apply the latest techniques and methods
* You enjoy working independently and are a proactive personality
* You are service-oriented, flexible, organized, accurate and reliable
* You have a very good knowledge of English and German is an advantage

* We have regular working hours, no weekend or night work
