As the Business Unit Head of Mobility Solutions, you play a pivotal role in driving the maxon group's growth trajectory. Your mandate encompasses spearheading business development and engineering efforts across key market segments. Your mission is to guide the transition from a component provider to a visionary leader in smart drive systems. Through collaborative leadership, performance-driven strategies, and a customer-centric approach, you inspire our global team towards success.
- Drive sustainable and profitable growth within assigned market segments such as Automotive, Intralogistics, Robotics and BIKEDRIVE, in alignment with the group's strategic objectives
- Monitor market dynamics closely to anticipate trends and proactively align maxon's product and service portfolio
- Collaborate with maxon's corporate and regional marketing teams, to elevate the maxon’s brand among industry leaders
- Ensure compliance with pertinent regulations (e.g., IATF 16949, Product Safety) and customer contracts
- Spearhead and acquisition, management and execution of customer-specific development projects in collaboration with production sites and R&D centers
- Drive platform developments for selected market niches, fostering innovation and competitive advantage
- Oversee key account management for selected customers
- Responsibility for budgeting and controlling within the business unit's
- Optimizing development projects and key accounts in collaboration with stakeholders
- Higher education in relevant engineering field
- 5-10 years of experience in a similar senior management or leadership role, preferably of the Automotive Industry
- Extensive international experience
- Experienced with strategy, engineering and product management processes
- Strong marketing and sales background
- Capable of coaching cross-functional teams, including all functions
- Strategic thinking, competence in analyzing and managing a matrix environment.
- Proven negotiation (contracts, sales) and communication skills in English (verbal and written)
- Good team player with cultural sensitivity
- Span of control (direct/indirect leadership): >10 direct reports plus indirect reports (Matrix)
- a culture of curiosity, collaboration, precision and customer focus in a market without limits and scope for technical development
