Buyer Services in Global Indirect Procurement
What this position is about - Purpose:
The Buyer services position in the Global Indirect Procurement (GIP) department ensures efficient procurement of services across the Northern Europe cluster, including Ireland, the UK, Scandinavia, the Baltics, and the Benelux region. This role leverages a comprehensive Procurement system to handle supplier data, sourcing events, saving projects, and reporting functionalities. The primary objectives are to ensure timely delivery of high-quality service, maintain strong supplier and business partner relationships, resolve procurement issues, and uphold compliance with corporate policies and regulations. This position is essential in driving procurement efficiency, supporting strategic decision-making, and contributing to the overall success of the GIP department.
What you will do – responsibilities:
Procurement Services and Delivery
- Ensure timely delivery of services in line with market and factory requirements
- Use effective tools for a complete procurement process, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with relevant policies and procedures
Supplier Performance and Issue Resolution
- Resolve issues related to supplier performance in the delivery of goods and services
- Support Business Partners in procurement-related payment concerns and closing documents."
- Analytical Reporting:
- Maintain procurement-related analytical reports via the Procurement system.
- Support decision-making processes for supervisors and internal customers through accurate reporting and analysis
Supplier Management
- Handle the existing supplier base within the respective area, maintaining effective communication with suppliers
- Regularly assess supplier performance and communicate findings to internal customers and suppliers to improve relationships and performance
Compliance Monitoring
- Monitor compliance with corporate procurement policies, code of conduct, operating guidelines, local regulations, and visibility for corporate audits and JSOX requirements
Support in Sourcing Activities
- Assist supervisor and category managers with ad hoc procurement activities in accordance with the Procurement plan
- Support the identification of requirements, supplier bidding, and negotiation processes
- Use negotiation skills to agree on commercial conditions, ensuring the best combination of quality, cost, and service parameters for products and services
- Handle sourcing events on request and in alignment with the Procurement Plan
Business Partner Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal business partners to ensure alignment of procurement strategies with business needs
- Act as a liaison between business partners and suppliers to facilitate communication and address any issues promptly
Who we are looking for – requirements:
- Higher professional education (Finance, Business, Procurement)
- 3-5 years of buying experience
- Fluent in English is a must, proficiency in Dutch is preferred
- Proficiency in system utilization and analysis techniques for purchasing and supplier activities
- Advanced skills in MS Office and SAP are advantageous.
- Expertise in Procurement and Reporting
- Proficiency in Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
- Strong skills in Business Partner Relationship Building
